Hand carved in wax and sand cast in solid 14k gold, this natural sapphire was cast in place; formed under heat, held permanently within the gold.

The stone settled into its setting as the metal cooled, leaving behind a natural, granular texture that contrasts with the depth of the sapphire. 

The form feels ancient, as if uncovered rather than made. One of a kind.
